Q: How long have Wrightway Studios been in business?

A: Wrightway Studios has been New Zealand's largest art and antique restoration service for over 40 years.

Q: Where are you located?

A: Our studio is located at 227 Taniwha St, Glen Innes, Auckland 1072.

Q: What are your opening hours?

A: We are open Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, and Saturday, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Please check our website for public holiday hours.

Q: How do I get a quote for a restoration?

A: We offer free, no-obligation quotes. It's often best to bring your item into our studio for an accurate assessment. You can also contact us by phone at +64 9 570 5741 or 0800 ART 111, or email info@wrightwaystudios.co.nz.

Q: Is there a charge for insurance quotes?

A: Yes, quotes for insurance claims incur a charge, typically ranging from $95-$295 + GST, depending on the complexity of the assessment and report.

Q: How long does a restoration take?

A: Restoration work requires great skill and patience, so lead times can vary. We'll provide an approximate completion time with your quote, but normal lead times are typically 2-3 months.

Q: Do you offer "invisible" restoration?

A: Yes, for many items, particularly ceramics and paintings, we can achieve an invisible restoration where the repair is virtually undetectable. We also offer conservation options where appropriate.

Q: What is the difference between repair, hybrid-conservation, and full restoration?

A: We will assess your item and discuss the best approach. A repair focuses on fixing the damage for functionality. Hybrid-conservation aims to stabilize the item and restore its appearance without completely erasing its history. Full restoration brings the item back to its original appearance, often making repairs invisible.

Q: Can environmental factors affect my restored item?
